Frequently asked questions
Short answers to the most common questions. Each answer links to the page with the details.
Account and organization
Do I need a company (CNPJ) to use Zenifra?
No. Individual (CPF) and company (CNPJ) accounts work the same way, always through organizations. See Sign up.
Can I work with more than one company using the same account?
Yes. An account can belong to several organizations and switch between them in the console. Projects, billing, and API keys are separated per organization. See Organizations.
How do I give someone access without granting everything?
Invite the person to the organization and grant only the permissions they need, for example read access to a single project. See Invite members and Granular permissions.
Projects and deployment
Which languages can I deploy?
From GitHub, Zenifra builds Node.js and Python projects. Any other stack (Java, Go, PHP, .NET, Ruby, web servers) can be deployed as an OCI image. See Runtimes.
GitHub or OCI image: which should I choose?
Use GitHub when you want the platform to build from source. Use an OCI image when your CI already builds it or the stack is not Node.js or Python. The source cannot be changed later. See Deploy.
How do I deploy automatically on every push?
On GitHub projects, select Automatic by branch. On OCI projects, use the official GitHub Action to send the new image. See Automatic branch updates.
How do I go back to a previous version?
See Rollback. On OCI projects, publish the previous tag again.
My application does not start. Where do I begin?
Check that the application listens on the port configured in the project, open the project logs, and follow the troubleshooting guide.
Files written by my application disappear on restart. Why?
The instance file system is ephemeral. To keep files, configure persistent storage when creating the project.
Databases and services
Does Zenifra create DATABASE_URL in my application automatically?
No. Copy the database connection details from the console and add the variable to the application project. See Environment variables.
Which databases are available?
PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Valkey (Key-Value, Cache, and Queues), and ClickHouse for Analytics. See Database, Managed services, and Analytics.
Domains and network
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on public HTTP projects, after creation. See Custom domains.
How do I restrict access to a few IPs?
Use the whitelist and blacklist, available on plans with the feature. See Network and access control.
Billing
How does hourly billing work?
Usage is rounded up to 1-hour blocks, with a 1-hour minimum. See Payment models.
Which payment methods are accepted?
Pix, boleto, and credit card in BRL. Credit is shared across projects, databases, and AI. See Managing payments.
What happens when credit runs out?
The platform tries to charge the saved card. Without a card, the amount stays outstanding and can be tracked in the console. AI is prepaid and stops responding without credit.
Security and support
Where should I keep secrets?
In the project environment variables, never in the repository. For automations, use API keys with minimal scopes. See Security.
How do I contact support?
Email [email protected]. Include the project ID, the approximate time of the issue, and the error message, without passwords, tokens, or keys. Sales and payment questions can go to [email protected].
